Test Blizzard SRC Racing S + Power 14 TCX

 Mini Blizzard - SkiReviewer

The Blizzard SRC Racing S + Power 14 TCX ski is the top SL ski offer from Blizzard, aside from the dedicated FIS model. Don’t be fooled by how it looks nor by the idiotic piston in the middle of the plate. This is a very nice SL ski. As any other Slalom ski, it just wants to turn and turn, and turn once again.

The wide shovel will guide us inside every twirl easily, while the somewhat wider waist (70mm under the foot) will make things a bit easier for most users. Those experienced Slalom maniacs will enjoy this ski, although a narrower profile would have been more pleasant for them.

Test Blizzard WRC Racing S + Power 14 TCX

Mini Blizzard - SkiReviewer

The Blizzard WRC Racing S + Power 14 TCX (flat with plate, as said in the brand’s brochure to give it an even longer name) is the second GS-like ski in the Blizzard’s Race range. It is quite similar to its brother, the Blizzard WRC Racing WC Piston. It is a more comfortable ski in an everyday use condition, although one should keep in mind this is still a demanding ski with a quite noticeable racing touch.

The size offer comes in four lenghts, going from 167cm for the shortest to 182cm for the longest, through 172cm and 176cm lengths as the intermediates. If we compare the Blizzard WRC Racing S + Power 14 TCX to its “older” brother, we’ll see the 167cm and the 172cm lengths are the new additions here, and the 186cm is the missing one.

Test Blizzard SCS Racing S + Power 12 TCX

Similarly to the Blizzard RCS Racing S, the Blizzard SCS Racing S + Power 12 TCX is the secondary model in the Slalom category. And yet again, the similarities are many between all Slalom models as it happened in the Giant Slalom ones. Of course, the reactions are smoother. The physical and technical demands are lower here. These models are focused on pure enjoyment without lowering the performance too much.

Test/Review Blizzard WRC Racing WC Piston

Mini Blizzard - SkiReviewer

The Blizzard WRC Racing WC Piston is one of the few good GS cheater skis available in the market today. Why cheater? Let me explain. The proper GS skis are the ones following the FIS rules. However, those rules are specific for competition and they are never intended for the general public. Because of that, all major brands split up their race ranges in two: one following the FIS standards and the other for the masses not following FIS rules. This way everyone is happy, specially those who really support this industry, the tourists.

Test Blizzard RCS Racing S + Power 12 TCX

The Blizzard RCS Racing S + Power 12 TCX is the secondary Giant Slalom model in the Blizzard Race range. Although it closes the line, this is a very capable ski that will satisfy the needs of those well skilled skiers who demand a powerful but comfortable ski. Its shape is tremendously similar to the other two Giant Slalom models in the range. But it’s in its reactions when we’ll notice the difference. Smoother and more forgiving in general are the main characteristics.
